On March 29, 2014, Windsor Chapter of The Citizens Foundation Canada organized its First TCF Charity Dinner in the city. The fundraising event was a great success and more than $ 25,000 dollars were raised compared to a fund raising target of $ 18,500.
The Charity Dinner was held at the Collavino Hall of WFCU center on the east side of Windsor. More than 350 people showed up to support the new TCF Chapter and to raise funds to at least support the operations of one TCF primary School for one year in Pakistan.
There were activities and attractions for both adults and children in addition to a delicious dinner. The children activities included a magic show, air brush painting, balloon animals and games. For the entertainment of the TCF Charity Dinner audience the local singer, Mukesh Vara sang his heart out to entertain the guests.
The Windsor, ON chapter is launched by Mr. Naeem Rabbani and his close friends and he is also the TCF Canada coordinator in the city.
Windsor, ON is a small city in the southern western Ontario with a total population of 200,000. It has a sizeable Pakistani-Canadian community dedicated to making a difference in the lives of orphans and underprivileged children.
